Stay Scam Smart: Catch Us on PBS HAWAII

Here at Cypac, we’re always working to help our community stay one step ahead of cyber threats. That’s why I’ll be joining a panel of cybersecurity professionals on Insights on PBS HAWAII this Thursday, May 22 at 7:30pm HST to talk about scams, fraud, and how to protect yourself in today’s digital world.

Scammers are getting smarter, hiding ransomware in image files, spoofing emails from people you trust, and using fear or urgency to trick you into acting fast. The good news? You don’t need to be a tech expert to defend yourself.

We’ll be sharing real world tips, like:

  • Slow down when something feels off

  • Verify contacts before responding

  • Use multi factor authentication and keep your systems updated Panelists are:

  • Attila Seress, Cypac Cyber security

  • Al Ogata, Chief Executive Officer – Cyberhawaii

  • Sgt. Edmund Ho, CrimeStoppers Honolulu Coordinator

  • Jodi Ito, University of Hawaiʻi Chief Information Security Officer

Tune in to learn simple, effective ways to protect yourself, your family, and your business. Let’s stay scam smart together. Stay safe out there
