McAllen Hunting and Fishing Show, McAllen, Texas NEWS I was commissioned to paint a painting for Texas
State University last year (See image below). They are offering prints in
various sizes from posters to canvas Giclee’s. Look for the images on Tshirts, tote bags
and other items from the university in the future. Or you can call Texas State University and
inquire how to order. Email me if you
need any info or call media services at Texas State University. I was selected as the Texas Ducks Unlimited 2005-2006 Sponsor Print Artist. The painting and
resulting print
is a self portrait of me and my lab “Woodrow”. Kerr McGee oil company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
owns a good collection of my larger original paintings displayed in their
corporate offices and board room. Texas Coastal Conservation Association has purchased
several of my prints for their fund raising efforts. Look for them at your CCA banquet and
auction near you. Louisiana Coastal Conservation Association purchases
prints from me each year for their fund raising efforts. Look for them if you attend a Louisiana CCA
event. I have
terminated my contract with Marathon Apparel for using my images on Ducks
Unlimited t shirts. I have decided to
start my own line of t shirts. Check back on the “t shirt” link on the
home page later for the images available and pricing. Both Academy Outdoors and Sportsmans
Warehouse have shown interest in carrying a line of my t shirts. Hopefully they will show up in some of
their stores in coming months. Sportsmen’s Warehouse, a large sporting goods chain
moving into the south and southeast now carries a selection of my prints at
most of their stores nationally. Great
prices on framed prints of 27 images and some larger limited editions as
well. Academy Outdoors began selling a selection of my
prints in December, 2006 at all of their stores. The sales have been great. I only sell the print and the framing is
done elsewhere but they have great prices on the framed prints they
sell. Academy has picked up another 10
images or so for their 2007-2008 line of prints. They have some “triples” that I do not sell
so check them out if a store is near you. Texas
Outdoors Journal continues to feature my work on the cover of that magazine a
few times each year. “Lunch Break”
limited edition print is being offered by Quail Unlimited this next
year. The Gallery of Rockport continues to carry many
original paintings and prints. It is a
beautiful gallery and you should stop by and take a look if you are in or
near Rockport, Texas. |
