THE STUDIO

In the summer of 2004 I decided I didn’t ever want to move my studio again so I began construction on a new and final workplace.  My wife and I have owned some land just west of San Marcos in central Texas so I constructed a studio that would accommodate a place to paint as well as a custom framing shop and printing facility since I print and frame my own work.  The building is now finished except for the landscaping.  My wife claims I am a hermit and she will never see me now that I have a place to work out in the “wild”.  It is so pleasant to be working among the giant oak trees that surround the studio miles from anywhere...or, anyone.

That’s not true however, (the hermit part).  I venture out for saltwater fishing trips and photo excursions for wildlife, whitetail deer, and most any other critter I decide to paint.   I included a place to sleep, a small kitchen and a bathroom complete with shower and we spend some weekends at the studio out with the whitetail deer, Rio Grande turkeys and all the other wildlife.  Oh yes, and our dogs Woodrow, a chocolate Labrador retreiver and Shee-Ra a border collie mix, a toy poodle LuLu, and the newest addition, Chloie, a 3 pound Yorkshire terrier.

And you are welcome as well.  Clients come to see art all the time so if you are ever in the area call (800-383-3212) and I’ll have a cold drink or coffee waiting for you.  I’ll be happy to show you any work in progress, the framing operation, the printing process or any print you might have an interest in purchasing.
